Cam Ward had a tough Week 1 against a tremendous Broncos defense. Although, his receivers did him no favors, especially Calvin Ridley and his 3 dropped passes. Pick – Rams

New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins (-1.5) – 10:00am, CBS

Something stinks in Miami. Pick – Patriots

San Francisco 49ers (-3.5) at New Orleans Saints – 10:00am, FOX

Brock Purdy is unlikely to play. Pick – Niners

Josh Allen is the early season favorite to repeat as MVP. Pick – Bills

Both Michael Penix Jr. and J.J. McCarthy made plays late in Week 1 to set their teams up for victory, one lost and one won. Pick – Vikings

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Houston Texans (-2.5) – 4:00pm, ABC/ESPN

Derek Stingley Jr. was hurt in Week 1. Emeka Egbuka had a stellar Week 1 debut hauling in 4 receptions for 67 yards and 2 TD’s, including a 25-yard game-winning TD catch late in the 4th quarter. Pick – Buccaneers

Few offenses looked worse than Houston in Week 1, especially one that was project to be good

Los Angeles Chargers (-3.5) at Las Vegas Raiders – 7:00pm, ESPN

Justin Herbert and Geno Smith both looked outstanding in Week 1, whichever defense can disrupt the opposing QB more and force him into a turnover or two will win. Pick – Chargers
